What is the best way to fold a fitted sheet?

It's hard to explain, but bear with me.

Put your hand into one corner, and pull an adjoining corner (not the corner that is diagonal) into the corner you have your hand in. Do the same with the two remaining corners. So now you have you sheet halfway done. Put one set of corners into the other, and fold the sides down on the same side as your hand (which should still be in the ';pocket'; with all four corners stacked). Now you have a square, just fold it to whatever size you need for your linen closet.

My mother was totally Type A about her linen closet. Frankly, it's easiest for me to wash it and put it right back on the bed.

Good luck!!What is the best way to fold a fitted sheet?
Folding fitted sheets are tricky. Take the narrow end of the fitted sheet and lay it across your bed. Take the other narrow end of the fitted sheet and fold it in half up into the corner ends. So now the fitted sheet has both corner tucked into the other end and you now have two corners left. Pick up one side of the corner and bring it over to the last corner and tuck that into the last corner. Now fold the longer length in half. then fold again so you can put the fitted sheet away. It is difficult to explain just how to do it but that is my way of folding fitted sheets. Some people can do a better job but mine don't have a lot of wrinkles in them and they are easy to make the bed again. I have purchased striped sheets to make the folding and making the bed easier for me. When it is a solid color it is easy to get the wrong corners together. The stripes help to know which way the stripe is and no problems folding them. Good Luck and hope it will be easier for you.
