Advice on ironing fitted sheets?

Does anyone have any helpful hints on how to iron fitted sheets? I already struggle with the normal ones and the fitted ones are an absolute nightmare :) so any help would be appreciated - btw I hate ironing but my partner likes the sheets to be ironed and since he is at work all day and I am at home with the baby I suppose it is fair for me to do something for him that he likes.Advice on ironing fitted sheets?
The only advantage to ironing sheets is that they are neater to store. Beat thing to do is take 2 corners and hang them on your fists, then hook the other 2 corners over so they fit one over the other if you know what I mean. Just fold up the sheet in 2 and run the iron over it. Then fold it again and iron and that's it really. You will never get it perfectly crease free, but it is better than nothing I guess.Advice on ironing fitted sheets?
Sorry hun, but I agree with the above posters. Life is too short to iron sheets which will wrinkle the minute you get into bed anyway. Obviously your other half's mum looked after him far too well and he needs a dose of reality.

Some of the polycotton sheets available do not crease too much when washed. Get them out on the line on a windy day, or dry them in the tumble dryer with a sheet of Bounce, and he'll never know the difference.

Then spend the time you've saved on the ironing doing something nice for yourself and the baby.
Iron them when they are on - easy then! I like them ironed but if I didn't, and he did (which he's not bothered about!) he'd be doing it himself don't get yourself stuck in this rut of him expecting you to do it , if you have time with the baby and don't mind - fair enough, but he has to understand that it's not always going to happen!
As said above easiest to iron when on the bed. Another trick, if you have spare ones, put freshly laundered one folded up (as well as you can fold a fitted sheet) underneath a big stack of bedding/towels/whatever and put in the cupboard. By next week they will be fairly smooth.
sorry but ironing sheets is a complete waste of anyone's time. If he likes them ironed so much, irrespective of whether he is at work, tell him to do it. You have a baby and all the other stuff to do undoubtedly.

sorry but surely the people who say iron them when they are on the bed are kidding.
Fold the fitted sheet in half and tuck one corner inside the other, then (assuming you're right handed) put the folded sheet in front of you with the fold at your right and the corners on you left with the board pointy bit inside, iron like that and slide it upwards every time you get a section done.
fitted sheets are the worse but ur best off not ironing them because by the time they have been stretched over the bed they wont need ironing. im at home every day with one kid at school and a 7 months old i manage to do all the housework and it still looks a mess. if he was my o/h and he wanted the sheets ironed i would say do it urself.
You really must have far too much time on your hands if you can iron fitted sheets. It's a total waste of time - who sees them? And they get all crumpled anyway so why bother? I only iron what I really have to like jeans and shirts. Life's too short to iron pants, socks, tea towels, sheets etc.
To be honest, I wouldn't iron them. They stretch tight when they are put on anyway, so they will be smooth enough. Although, as other answerers have said, you could always run the iron over them when they are on the bed.

But, life is too short to iron everything.
My advice... Don't be a fool. Fitted sheets stretch tightly on the mattress. That is the biggest waste of time. Take that time and put it to good use, like napping or playing with your baby.
you got to be kidding. you dont have enough to do with a baby? tell that guy to iron his own damn sheets.
life is short

why waste time ironing things that never get seen???

tell him no sane person irons sheets. if he likes his sheets ironed that much he should be more than happy to iron them himself
Put them in the tumble drier,, they will not need ironing, they will stretch across the bed , %26amp; he will never know,
WOW...that stopped for me when i left moms house years ago!!! I never iron sheets. Love the line dry and fluff myself
i'd never iron my lover's

sheets. instead i'd put a iron on them

while they were sleeping then say

';oops! sorry! just wanted to make sure

there were no wrinkles';
put them on the bed first, then run the iron over them.Question?Do you iron his underpants as well?
Ive never ironed a sheet in my life!!! What is the point when youre just going to lie on it!!
