My fitted sheet and mattress pad always come off of my mattress, how can I keep them on my bed?

I use large diaper pins and pin the mattress pad to the foot of the mattress. My fitted sheet and mattress pad always come off of my mattress, how can I keep them on my bed?
In the linen departments they sell bands that restraints the sheets in place . they snap on or they have catches at either end. Very nice to have if you have that problem. My fitted sheet and mattress pad always come off of my mattress, how can I keep them on my bed?
Get some of the elastic ';clamps'; from Walmart. They go diagonal across the bottom of the mattress to hold your sheets in place....
You could try attaching some small pieces of velcro on both the sheets, mattress pad, and mattress. I did that for a carpet that keeps moving all across the room! It works. My carpet doesn't budge, yet I can easily undo the velcro for cleaning.
if you can get the mattress pad to stay on then your sheets will stay on... try sewing some elastic loops to all 4 corners on the pad so that when you out it on the mattress it hugs the corners on the bottom and it won't move around
use safety pins. pin them to the mattress
do you have a high mattress? sounds like it maybe too small. there are these white things that can hook to the sheet corners. you can find them by the sheets at Walmart. they look like a metal loop and the part attached to it is a button that goes into the loop. they aren't that expensive.
1. put the mattress pad and the sheet on the mattress

2. flip over the matress

3. duct tape a big ';X'; on the bottom of the mattress, making sure the ends of the tape grab the corners of the sheet
Hello,

First a good mattress pad will help your sheets stay on the bed. Most mattresses are covered in a polyester material which is very slipper. Mattress pads are made of cotton / poly blend that has a higher surface friction allowing the sheets to cling better to it.

Get a mattress pad with elastic, expand-a-grip sides, with a plenty deep pocket so that it actually pulls tight underneath the mattress. Many vendors carry these. We sell the Southern Textiles Prestige Cotton Mattress Pads. You can see a picture of it here and see what I mean about how well the expand-a-grip sides really hug the mattress:

It fits mattresses up to 17'; deep and has expand-a-grip sides to prevent slipping.

Once your mattress pad is secure, sheets will naturally stay on the bed better. However, fitted sheets with a thick elastic band all the way around the bottom keeps it pulled down under the mattress. Many less expensive sheets only have elastic at the corners, which helps, but does not make as snug fit. Corner straps, pins, velcro, etc. are a hassle and likewise do an inferior job.

We carry Egyptian cotton sheets and regular cotton sheets, 200-300 thread count with deep pockets 17'; - 21'; with elastic bands all the way around the bottom:

You could try safety pins maybe. I'm not all together certain, I have the same problem and it is quite an annoyance. Maybe the elastic is just worn out and it's time to get a new fitted sheet and mattress pad?
Go to a store that sells bedding - there are elastics you can get that clip onto the corners of the fitted sheet to keep it around the mattress - they're around $10 I think.
Buy deep fitted sheets.
