I change both sheets and pillow cases once a week. I wash then in hot water and use bleach once a month. You need to keep your bed clean. Turn the mattress over from time to time unless of course it is a pillow top, like mine. Then I just turn the end to the top and vice a verse! Wash the mattress pad every three months and the spread twice a year. You can tell when you need to buy new things. Good luck, isn't it fun to clean house? I just love it!

Weekly...after 6-7 days the build up of dead skin cells really collect and get the dust mites going so I like to wash them every week in hot water.
As a rule, I change the sheets every week. Sometimes I change the pillow cases more often. And if anyone is sick, the sheets get changed every other day, unless they need it more often. An extra flat sheet folded in half and tucked under the mattress on each side helps keep the mattress clean, especially with kids.

Wash, dry and put them same set back on the bed once a week. I don't like storing sheets and trying to find them, plus I love the set that I have!
