Here's How:
Slip your hand into 2 top corners of the sheet.
With one hand inside each of the top 2 corners, fold the sheet (right sides together). Slip each of the top corners into one of the bottom corners.
Lay sheet on bed or table. Arrange and fold the corners neatly. Turn in selvage edges enough to make 4 straight sides.
Fold in half, then in half again. (All four corners will be stacked together, and sheet will be in a long strip.
Then fold the long strip in half, then in half (or thirds, depending on the size of the sheet) again to make a square.
Sheet should be a compact, neat square.
Smooth and place on shelf.
Tips:
Learn how to fold sheets consistently so that they remain neat each time.
Store sheets in sets (flat, fitted, and cases) if that is how you use them.
Mark shelves with sheet sizes, or use different shelves for different size sheets.
For patterned sheets, by folding the bottom sheet inside out and the top sheet right side out, you'll be able to easily tell the difference. How the fandangle do you fold a fitted sheet!?
I have a couple added ';tips'; that are useful to me about folding/storing fitted sheets/flat sheets and pillowcases...
I like to fold the sheets as the others mentioned... I then fold the flat sheet... I then STORE the set in one of the pillowcases that matches the set.. So, everything is together.. You just pull the entire ';packet'; out... No muss, no fuss and everything is together....
I also like to store everyone's bedding UNDER the bed it belongs to in underbed storage containers.. It frees up valuable space in the linen cabinet and it's easy to find linens for each bed when you need it. !
Good luckHow the fandangle do you fold a fitted sheet!?
put your hands in each corner of the sheet, that goes over the mattress. Fold the sheet in half, keeping your hands in the corners and tucking into the other corners of the sheet. Keep folding to tuck the corners into one another.
Fold length wise and then finish with a flat folded, easy to shelve sheet.
Such a GREAT question!!!! I can't wait to read all the responses.
I can usually to the first fold with limited frustration, but then it all goes to hell after that.
Thanks for posting.
