How do you keep a fitted sheet from falling off at night?

I don't know how many other people this happens to but every fitted sheet i own never stays on the bed. By morning the sides have come off and we are on the bare mattress or have a bunched up sheet under our backs. This is so annoying and i have even bought bigger sheets and it still does this. Is there any way to keep this from happening? How do you keep a fitted sheet from falling off at night?
I think there are special clip things to keep them on. Like... corner holder things?

That sounds so ridiculous but anyway, I have the same problem! I should look for those. How do you keep a fitted sheet from falling off at night?
I agree with the previous answer.

These 'clip things' are not unlike the braces that men used in the 1920 and 1030's to hold up their trousers or their cotton socks. I think that they may be called clip-on-braces. (?)

These clip on braces are in much smaller sizes and I have used them to hold the ironing board cover tightly in place.

So unless you are into sewing, once the elastic on fitted sheets has stretched - it is not longer, a so called 'fitted sheet' ;)

The braces have a clip at either end and elastic in between which I believe it may be adjustable. They have been located in supermarkets, haberdashery or the cheaper bits %26amp; pieces stores.
Do you have a fitted mattress pad on your bed? If not, this may solve your problems. The mattress material is usually slippery, so a fitted sheet will have a hard time staying on. A fitted mattress pad plays a dual role - it protects the mattress from sweat and odors, while helping to keep the fitted sheets from slipping.
Sheets should never be put Straight on to a mattress, there are mattress covers which are anti static.
