Can I use a FLAT SHEET as what a FITTED SHEET would do?? ?

I guess most people use the flat sheet to put under their comforters, i think? Well can I save money and just one flat sheet and use it as a fitted sheet covering the mattress? :)

Thank youCan I use a FLAT SHEET as what a FITTED SHEET would do?? ?
Of course - fitted sheets are a relatively new item in homes. Just learn to make a mitered corner so the bottom sheet stays in place; it will help to do the area under the pillows first, then put the top sheet on upside down (hem stitching facing up toward the eventual blanket or comforter), then tuck in and miter the top and bottom sheets at the foot of the bed together. Many people include the blanket in that ';tuck'; too.

When you place the top sheet on the bottom sheet upside down, it looks more attractive when the top sheet is folded back in front of the pillows, and also keeps the hem stitching away from the body, which might be irritating. Many sheets now are designed so that their trim shows only when folded back like described.

You can also use a flat sheet for a dust ruffled on top of the box spring but merely gathering it in the center, replacing the mattress, and arranging the overhang around the base of the bed. Anything goes for convenience. Can I use a FLAT SHEET as what a FITTED SHEET would do?? ?
yes if you have ever noticed its what hotels do and i'm sure that they do it to save money
