My friends and I have formed a small jazz ensemble and we are wondering what music to play. We have a bass, piano, drums, alto sax, trumpet and maybe a trombone if the music calls for one. Also how and where can a couple of high school students get music without spending too much? Thanks.Where can we get jazz sheet music that will fit our group?
OMG! COOL! I will try to help as much as I can, cause I'm a pianist and alto saxophonist!
Slow, song mostly for your saxes, but would work for your group...It's called ';MISTY'; by: Stan Getz-

SHEET MUSIC=
Thousands of sheet music for free (and printable!) got to this site and make an account:
http://sheetmusicpublicdomain.com/?place鈥?/a>
-When you made your account, search for jazz music! (don't forget the ones I listed!)
ADVICE=
Go to a local family music store, talk to an older sales person (in their 50's or 60's), ask them about their favorite jazz bands, and research those band names!
ALSO, if you have an older grandparent, relative, or friend of your parents who listened to that kind
of music - ask them!
My grandpa just died in January...he loved music...My mom said that was all she listened to when she was a little girl...most of this advice CAME from my mom actually, lol.
....that's all the best advice you could possibly get from one musician to another! (...and from my mom! lol)
Good luck! :DWhere can we get jazz sheet music that will fit our group?
Here's What My Jazz Quintet Does:
1. Get a ';RealBook'; They are essentially the bible of Jazz Musicians. It has hundreds of Jazz, Latin, Ballads, and Funk tunes in it. For each song. there is the ';Head'; (or the melody), and chord symbols. Learn the melody and add harmony based on the chord symbols. Then, usually, the musicians solo over the chord changes, and then play the ';Head'; again and end the tune. They are available at virtually any music store. (Honestly your best bet)
2. Write Your Own Songs: (Think of something simple, like a waterfall, and go to the piano and play a few simple chords that remind you of a waterfall. Then add instrument and instrument and create a simplistic melody and add harmony's (3rd, 4th, 5th of the root note, sound nice) You will be surprised at how easy music and ideas will come to you.
3. YouTube: Believe it or not, if you guys are good at hearing notes and being able to play them on your instruments without music, you can learn a lot of cool tunes and use them as ideas for your own songs.
4. Google Search: There are some really cool free charts on the web. Search for ';Free Sheet Music Jazz'; or something along those lines.

Where to get toddler bed sheet sets (fitted bottom, top flat)?
I have searched for bottom and top sheets for a toddler bed and cannot find any without having to buy a whole bedding set that also includes the comforter. These sets are not that cheap ($35 and up) and we already have quite a few comforters that were hand made and given to us before my grandson was born.
So, I do have a sewing machine, but finding the time is another question and cost wise...would it be cheaper to make? Fitted bottom sheets run $6.89 to $10 at walmart.
What is your opinion or have you found sheet sets (without the comforters) for decent prices and where?
Thank you to all who answer.Where to get toddler bed sheet sets (fitted bottom, top flat)?
I too asked this question before, I know you can use regular crib sheets but wanted the top sheet as well. I haven't looked into getting any, but just found these for you -

I have not seen any stores with just the sheet set (outside of just a fitted crib sheet), although I haven't looked in earnest yet.... I was about to go searching for this myself. I did briefly look at eBay a few months ago, and there seemed to be a lot of options without the comforter. Good luck!
you can find them at walmart and target for sure... just look in the baby department for the crib sheets because you use a crib mattress on a toddler bed.
I use a standard twin set, it works really well and the ones that seem big just tuck really tight under neath or even get a pin and pin the loose ends on the mattress
I found fitted sheets with a blanket at target.
baby crib sheets fit a toddler bed and are sold separately just about anywhere!
I'd check Baby's R US?!

I have fitted sheets with valances?
These sheets always wrinkle and pull away from the corners every day. How can I get them to stay neat and unwrinkled?I have fitted sheets with valances?
Is it one of the fitted sheets that come with the valance attached. I had one of those and had the same problem.
You can buy a separate valance and sheet but its a flipping nuisance so I just did away with the valance and bought a throw which comes down to floor level.
That means you cant see the base of the bed which I think is ugly because it has drawers in it.I have fitted sheets with valances?
You can buy straps. They clip onto the sheet, across the corners, you then slip the elastic underneath the corner of the mattress with the sheet %26amp; these hold the sheets on properly. I think they might be called gripper straps for sheets, check on ebay. They really work.
Don't pay too much, I think mine cost about 拢2 for a set of 4.
valance sheets are to go under the mattress not on top of the matress.
buy ordinary fitted sheets and you will be ok!

I have 4 or 5 regular sheets (single bed) but I need fitted sheets. I'm a bachelor, they don't have to match. Where can I purchase just bottom sheets? Can I buy ';fitted'; sheets and not a set?
Hi, yes you can buy just the fitted sheets at just about any department store. Wal-Mart usually has the best price for those but you can find them any Penney鈥檚, Wards, K-Mart etc and twins are usually fairly cheap compared to the larger sizes. Can I buy ';fitted'; sheets and not a set?
Macys is a good place because they have sales on decent sheets. I find they are just as inexpensive as say Kmart (and better quality) if you get em on sale, and macys is always having a sale it seems like.
Edit: Posted a link for macys I dont oreder online but just so you get an idea. These Ralph Lauren are decent
Hi there,
If you are in the UK try morrison's, asda or tesco's. I often get the morrison fitted sheets in both single and double. Usually the colours are blue, white or cream.
Hope this helps, have a great weekend :-)

Ho do you fold fitted sheets and mke them look neat? Seriously !?
Both of these sites show how it is done. I've been folding those darn fitted sheets for years and the two sites below easily demonstrate this hair pulling ordeal of laundry day. But I promise you it really isn't all that difficult. It just takes a little practice.
A little trick I've learned....When folding sheet sets save one pillow case to put the fitted sheet and flat sheet with one pillow case inside the unfolded pillow case. This way the entire set is always together and will not get mixed up with other items in the laundry closet.Ho do you fold fitted sheets and mke them look neat? Seriously !?
Lay the sheet flat, with the corners in, then fold the sides to the middle and then the ends, you end up with a sheet that you can fold over to the center, and then fold again, now that you have done that fold in half and again. Should be a nice little package. Good luck.Ho do you fold fitted sheets and mke them look neat? Seriously !?
According to Martha Stewart, you lay them on bed, fold the long way, take fitted part and place one into other, then fold the end up even where fitted is inside the end of rectangle, do both ends, then fold in half, fold in half again %26amp; one fold across. The perfect fitted sheet folded flat. Hey, she was on Oprah.
Haven't figured that one out yet...sorry

Does a resume have to fit on one sheet of paper?
Are resumes always on one sheet or can they be a little bit longer?Does a resume have to fit on one sheet of paper?
I wouldn't go over a page. When handling so many pages of so many resumes, a second page makes a difference.
What size is your format? Can you make it smaller, leave out a word or two, space it differently???
Here is a spectacular website:
http://jobsearch.about.com/od/resumes/Re鈥?/a>Does a resume have to fit on one sheet of paper?
This depends on the resume. In my experience, most employers will prefer one sheet, but if you have more applicable experience or skills than will fit on one sheet, then you should certainly include them. For example, my husband has experience in multiple science careers as well as expert knowledge of many scientific computer programs and techniques. When using a chronological resume, it is about a page and a half. When using a functional resume, which focuses more on his skills, it still fits on one page.
One sheet is bollocks. It all depends on how much experience you have. A resume should always be kept as concise as possible, but at the same time you need to reflect what you did at your positions and your technical skills. Don't force the HR people to become mind readers because they wont even bother calling you for an interview if they have to be guessing what you can offer their company. A lot of resumes are also electronically stored, meaning they use keywords to pull relevant resumes up. Hence, if your resume is vague it will NEVER trigger a pull.
It is often preferable to keep a resume to only one page; however, ensure that the font is not shrunk to the point that it is illegible (10 pt. should be considered a minimum). If you feel that in order to maintain a decent font size an extra page is needed, this second page will likely not make a negative impact.
it depends on what the resume is being used for, and it doesn't HAVE to fit on one sheet, but it is common for an employer to prefer to look at one sheet with the candidate's major accomplishments as opposed to multiple with everything.
Yeah keep it to one page but fill that thing up as much as you can while trying to keep it organized looking. Try to have your best features stand out and make them remember yours!
usually one, especially in the business arena.
Older employees may have more.eye shadow

I am looking for a fitted King size sheet with measurement of 72'; x 75.2';. Where ?
Hi, Here are the size of king mattresses and the fitted sheets are the same size.
Standard King 76”x80”
California King 72”x84”
(aka Western King)
Eastern King 78”x80”
Your measurements will be closest to a california king. You could just tuck in the extra or get them altered. Hope this helps.
http://www.bestratedmattresses.com/king-…I am looking for a fitted King size sheet with measurement of 72'; x 75.2';. Where ?
DM, if that's the size of the top of the mattress, it appears to be something non-standard. King mattresses are 76'; (wide) by 80'; and a California King is 72'; by 84';.
Your size is shorter than any mattress (Queens are 80'; long, too) except Twin Extra Long, and those are nowhere near the width you need, of course.
Best bet is to buy a standard King and tuck the excess near the foot (or modify it yourself).

the only ones I can think of offhand are the old school Chevy wagons... I had a '79 caprice that could hold just about anything!
Only one I can think of would be an old Buick Roadmaster. At that, I'm not sure it'd take a full 4x8 sheet of plywood.

Fitting sheet music on a stand?
to all musicians out there: how can i fit 5 pages of music on a standard sized stand without having to flip anything??? this is for a 3-5 minute youth orchestra audition, and stopping half way through the piece to flip the 3 pages i have taped together doesn't seem appropriate, even though there is a huge 17 bar rest in the piece. i just don't think it's right to stop, the guy might think I'm finished!
please, any tips? thank you everyone!Fitting sheet music on a stand?
If it's in book form, you or someone else gets the honor of flipping pages. That's just the way it is.Fitting sheet music on a stand?
This is what page turners are for - live people, not some mechanical device! Especially if you have too many pages to stretch out across the stand on card, rope in a friend to help. Besides, that way you will have the bit you are concentrating on at that moment in front of you where it belongs, not a yard away so you have to turn or lean over to see it, and that can be really disrupting to the flow of your playing.
Good luck with the audition.
Get a bigger stand.
Tape the pages to one big sheet of cardboard so you can just place that on the stand. (it wont bend or anything!)
Use two stands.
There are digital music stands available. eStand is an example.
Harry Connick Jr. and others have used LCD music stands for big bands and orchestras.
Use a Manhasset stand, and get StandOuts - those plastic things that slide on. They increase the width significantly - I use them all the time.
Have someone turn pages for you?
Thats what I would do :)

You can go to ';print options'; and change the margins on the ';print preview'; screen. Just click and drag the blue lines which indicate the margins. The size of the spreadsheet's font will very likely change if the chart is big.

Looking for cradle sheet to fit a thin cradle/changing table pad?
We purchased a mission style cradle from JC Penny. The cradle pad is about 18';W x 34';L x 1';H (a very odd-ball size). The pad is nearly identical to a standard changing table pad. Does anyone know where I can find a sheet or cover to fit this cradle and/or a thin changing table pad?Looking for cradle sheet to fit a thin cradle/changing table pad?

Do I still need to buy EXTRA fitted crib sheets on top of what I get with crib bedding package?
i definatley suggest it. i have 3 sheets in total and sometimes only do laundry once a week. sometimes i am forced to do a load earlier because i have no shets for his crib.Do I still need to buy EXTRA fitted crib sheets on top of what I get with crib bedding package?
I bought three extra ones so I can always have a spare on his bed while the other is being washed. You never know when he/she will be sick and throw up in the middle of the night or have diarreha. I also used to fitted mattress covers under the sheets to help protect the mattress and make it warmer.Do I still need to buy EXTRA fitted crib sheets on top of what I get with crib bedding package?
I found I never needed more than two fitted sheets. I had one flannel sheet for the cool winter nights and a light cotton sheet for the summer.
There may be times when the baby has a very messy diaper and it leaks out onto the bed. This usually happens in the middle of the night when you don't want to deal with changing a crib. It's good to have a back-up fitted sheet for emergencies!!
Yes. You are going to need extra sheets. My son sleeps through the night and for some reason..every night..he pees on himself and it gets all over his sheets and clothes. So I have to change it every morning. Plus they slobber and spit up so yeah..unless you want to do laundry more then once a day...buy lots of crib sheets!
oh yeah. I change my daughter about every three days. And I wash her clothes about once a week. She has quite a bit of clothing so I find no need to wash them all the time, but she does have the nasty drool and spit up, so I change the sheet frequently. It helps to have a clean spare sheet for changes and then another one for emergencies.
I have three total and it's perfect.
Oh yeah. Kids are gross. Have atleast a back up, more like 2 or 3. They ralph and all other nasty things in the middle of the night.
Side note- be ready for when they learn to take their diaper off in the night. My 13 month old did this everyday until we started to use duct tape. We needed back up sheets for that.
Hi congrats on your baby %26gt;Yes i suggest you buy maybe 2 more .However good tip is to use a muslin on the top of the matteress for any pukes .It can be easily changed %26gt;also put one where the nappy lies/ Good luck with your new baby.
You'll want at least two more for when you do laundry or the baby spits up on them.
yes. just for those poop, pee, puke accidents. and for while your washing the other. they come in handy.

Invite any currently active military man to make your bed. Take pictures.
You don't need pictures. You take the flat sheet, fold in half and half again. Take the fitted sheet and wad it up in the neatest ball you can. You can't fold a fitted sheet. I think there might even be a housekeeping law pertaining to folding fitted sheets.
That's the reason that hospitals don't want you to watch them make a bed, their fitted sheets don't look any better than ours do.
Sign me up for the class I hate fitted sheets.
Technique
Folding a Fitted Sheet
1. Start with your sheet inside out. While standing, hold the sheet in front of you, and place one hand in each of two adjacent corners.
2. Bring your right hand to your left, and fold the corner in your right hand over the one in your left hand, so that the corner on top is right-side out.
3. Keeping your left hand in place, reach down to the remaining two corners with your free hand, and tuck these corners into each other. Fold these corners over the first two. Your sheet should now be folded in quarters, with all four corners tucked inside one another.
4. Lay the sheet on a flat surface with the puckered end folded in over the flat part of the sheet. Touch up with an iron, if necessary, at this point. Fold two edges in, so all the elastic is hidden.
5. Fold the strip you have created into a rectangle, then continue folding until the rectangle is the size you want it to be.
They are folded in half (for length) then in half again (for length). Then they are folded in half (to shorten the length) and in half again (same way) and maybe in half again (same way)
Fitted sheets get folded by holding the seamed corners(top corners of the bed) putting them together and then fold to desired size. Practice makes it better. Or do as i use to do , wad it up best as can be and toss in closet .

Since when do fitted sheets have elastic all the way around?
How the heck do you put them on the bed? It takes me about three trys! What's the secret?Since when do fitted sheets have elastic all the way around?
Put the elasticated corners over the mattress, starting with the top of the bed first, then do the bottom of the bed. It's easier this way!

How to keep fitted sheets smooth on the bed?
You can purchase straps that attach to the corners, what works best for me is placing a non skid mat for under the rugs on the corner and sides of the mattress. I cut them into this shape. curve on top, narrowing down to the bottom of the mattress. I lay this on each corner and pull the sheet over each corner. I wish I could explain this better but the key is the under rug item in small ares on the corner of the mattress and sides. How to keep fitted sheets smooth on the bed?
what i always do b4 putting the sheets on my bed is that i iron all my bed things.. so i iron the pillow cover, bed skirt, etc...
that really helps a lot.. then i tuck it in really tightly.. if it comes out, just tuck it back in..
i know it is really annoying all the time tucking and tucking and tucking! so just tuck ur bed sheet in really tight the first time.
i hope this helps! byeHow to keep fitted sheets smooth on the bed?
They work during the day but you will have to still make the bed in the morning. Good luck!

Do i need fitted crib sheets or just crib sheets?
I was going to buy a bunch of both but someone told me i could use fitted and crib sheets that i didn't need to put down a fitted then a regular sheet like you do on a regular size bed is this true.Do i need fitted crib sheets or just crib sheets?
I have only used the fitted sheets. Having less things the baby can get tangled up in on the crib is better. If you want to have a flat sheet or two to use like a light weight blanket than buy a few for that purpose, otherwise skip the flat sheet.Do i need fitted crib sheets or just crib sheets?
Hmmm... I actually thought all crib sheets were fitted?! I have only used fitted crib sheets in our son's crib. They'll recommend that you don't cover your baby with any blankets for the first year anyhow, and when they do end up after a year with a blanket...I'm pretty sure that your little one won't lay in bed under sheets! He'll end up rolling all over the place, so you'll just want to put a light blanket on top that you don't have to tuck in like regular sheets.
So I'd say just fitted crib sheets! 4 is a good number.
yes, all I have on my babies crib is a fitted sheet. No regular sheet needed. And speaking with experience, but at least 5 so you aren't having to do laundry all the time.
Just use the fitted sheet. Flat sheets are not recommended because the baby could become entangled in it. Nothing loose in the crib at all.
You'll want a fitted sheet on the crib. You don't want to put a regular sheet down because it could bunch up and get in your baby's face.
fitted is better, it fits the mattress better, making it harder it to come off and a hazard to baby
You use fitted crib sheets for an infant. The regular sheets are intended to be used for a toddler bed.
crib sheets ARE fitted.eye shadow

How to reduce data in a single excel sheet to fit into a Word page?
If i understand what you mean...you could try making the font 1 or 2 sizes smaller then select all (might have to push it twice to show EVERYTHING) and then you can just double click one of the drag lines at the boxes that say A B C...
you could also try hiding columns that you dont really need. Do this by selecting the column (at a b c...) and right click %26gt; hideHow to reduce data in a single excel sheet to fit into a Word page?
Hold down the Ctrl + Scroll themouse wheel. The sizes will change.

How to fit half sheet of paper over your head?
In one of my classes today we tried that.. we cannot cut it to wear there are open ends.. we cannot cut a strip off the edge and put it over our heads.. I don't mean like stick on top of your head like a hat, I mean put it over our heads onto our shoulders, like a necklace.
We cannot tear it or cut any parts out of it.
We did this activity today and we aren't doing it anymore and the teacher didn't really tell us the answer. How to fit half sheet of paper over your head?
I think I know what trick your teacher had in mind. You cut the paper, but you don't cut anything out of it. Fold it in half, then make cuts almost all the way across starting on alternating sides (kind of a big zig zag). Then cut across the strips on the fold (except the 1st and last) that so it opens up in a bunch of linked strips - still one piece, and if you do the cuts close enough together, you can walk through it. Here's a link with a video.

Where to buy fitted bed sheet for double 6'; mattress?
I had one that fitted perfectly which I bought from Next but it has since worn down and i had to through it away. I bought another one from the same shop but for some reason they only fit 10'; mattresses now. Ive searched all over the net for a sheet which is 6'; deep but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas on where to get one? Preferably in the UK, although i dont mind ordering online from overseas if needs be. Im just really surprised how how it is to find one this depth. I always assumed it was standard depth.
ThanksWhere to buy fitted bed sheet for double 6'; mattress?
I'm from UK and now live in Australia, and I had no trouble picking up a 6'; sheet in my local hypermarket (Big W). I'd be amazed if Asda or BHS don't keep them - or M%26amp;S. Why not call around all the department stores in your area, to save your feet?

Do you fold or not fold fitted sheets?
Myself I see no point in folding fitted sheets because they are darn near impossible to fold attractively anyway.Do you fold or not fold fitted sheets?
fold themDo you fold or not fold fitted sheets?
they really arent...i thought so to before my brief job at a hotel laundry room! put your fitted sheet inside out,put your index finger in the corner of the sheet on both sides(arms outstreatched)put your index fingers together and fold excess over, follow same steps on the other side until all corners are folded inside eachother.
Fold. From rounded edge to rounded edge. Easy. Once you get the hang of it.

How many newborn outfits, diapers, fitted crib sheets do I need? By christmas will she be in 0-3 mts?
You need at least 2 crib sheets. How many newborn outfits, diapers, fitted crib sheets do I need? By christmas will she be in 0-3 mts?
My son was out of the newborn stuff in less than a month and he didn't end up wearing all the stuff he was bought. I'd say you need a minimum of 6 all in one suits (babygrows) and vests. The more you have the less washing you will do though as they do tend to soil them quite a lot.
Babies can go through up to 10-12 nappies a day but grow out of the newborn size quickly.
I only used 2 crib sheets and just rotated them. Again though the more you have the less washing.
Don't go overboard on cute outfits though as she will probably spend most of her time in the all in one bodysuits. How many newborn outfits, diapers, fitted crib sheets do I need? By christmas will she be in 0-3 mts?
hI;) My baby wore her newborn outfit only once. It was just the righr size when we were at the hospital but a week later, already, she was wearing her 0-3months clothes. She weighted 8lbs2 at birth which is a good baby but nothing out of the ordinary. She is now 1 month old and the 0-3 months still fits, but I'm not sure for how long as she is getting pretty tight in them. Newborn outfits don't last most babies (no matter what one said, a baby is suppose to grow pretty quickly!)
She still wears the newborn diapers but then again not for long. You mighr calculate 炉240 diapers for that first month.
As for what will fit for xmas, there is an easy tip. When shopping for cloth, divide by 2. So 6M clothing will usually fit a 3 month old baby. 12M will suit a 6 months old baby... and so on :)
2 crib sheets were enough for me. As for clothes, think of 3 changes per day and it depends on how often you wanna do laundry... ;) Babies get dirty pretty quick (barfing, pooping and all) I agree that sleeping suits are awesome.
Good luck and congrats!!!
my son was in newborn until he was almost 4 and a half months old he weighed 6 lbs 6 oz at birth and he wasnt a preemie some babies grow differently and he is now 7 months and weighs 15 lbs 8oz so it depends on the baby some are just chunkier than others! i would buy plenty of newborn just in case and i think you should always have alot bc they spit up and some poop so much at one time they can poop out of the diapers! my son weighs 15 lbs but eats everything in sight lol he loves real food and baby food and he eats 2 to 3 7oz bottles a day baby food 3 times a day and he eats food off our plates if i think he can chew it
0-3 months by xmas may even be to Small depending on how quick she grows. You will need at least 2 packs of diapers a week new born outfits in myopinionn are a waste of money as they are not in them for long before they out grow them i found sleep suits a better option and they are easier to remove if they need changing.Fitted crib sheets i had 5 and i found that to be plenty.
my son wore newborn sizes for about a month. he was in 0-3 months by the time he was 1 month old.
pretty much for that first month, you'll just need baby gowns, footed sleepers and onesies (and socks!) maybe a few nice ';going out'; outfits and hats.
i had 4 or 5 fitted crib sheets and two mattress crib pads. i really didn't need so many fitted crib sheets, though. i think as long as you have two, you'll be able to wash the old one and dress the crib with the new one.
**
If you're having a shower, don't worry about clothes yet. People love to give clothes. But 10 outfits should do for any age baby. Your baby will go through a case of diapers a week to start. And get as many fitted sheets as you can... they tend to poop, spit up, and pee a LOT in the beginning.

Do standard fitted sheets fit memory foam mattresses, or are these deeper than normal mattresses?
';Standard'; can vary from one manufacturer to another. Each new sheet set should have the pocket size printed on the front of the package. The surest way to make sure you buy the right one is to measure the height of your mattress and check the packages.
I bought a memory foam mattress that was thicker than my old mattress, so I went out and bought new ';deep pocket'; sheets. They're too big, and they slide around. How do you fold fitted sheets without 3 hands??????
It's quite simple...my grandmother taught me several years ago.
1- Hold the sheet in front of you w/one hand in each pocket.
2- Fold in half lengthwise inserting one pocket over the other, lay flat on bed and do the same with other pocket.
3-To make the sheet even, you must fold in the overlapping part, then fold in half again inserting the pockets until you get your desired fold.
If you practice a few times, you will do it without thinking. Good Luck and happy folding! How do you fold fitted sheets without 3 hands??????
Fold in half on a table or in the air. Sometimes I sub by bed for the table. Put the sides with elastic bands inside. and always keep the the bands on the inside. Keep on folding in half. Occasionally you might need to rub your hand over the sheet to cut down on the wrinkles. The final fold is in thirds and it will produce a nice folded sheet. I got lots of practice when I worked at an institution for the retarded, so I know this technique works. How do you fold fitted sheets without 3 hands??????
ooooo u dont have three hands??? i guess i cant help u then....
Folding them on a bed helps.
LOL - I haven't folded sheets in years.
The sheets %26amp; 1 pillowcase are put into the 2nd pillowcase and then into the Linen closet. When you are ready to change the bed sheets, all of the fresh linen is together in one place and ready to go.
you probably have to fold it and lay it on the ground and grab different corners. its possible just not as easy
uhhhh what?
two people!
lay it out on the floor and pull it flat. Folr it up and make it flat again. continue the process and once you've finally folded it small enough, you can use your own two hands and make it straight everytime, or it'll turn out into a lump.
Martha Stewart (on her old show) did a segment on this, there is a trick to it. If you want to do it perfectly, check out her website, or her book ';Homekeeping';, or send her website an e-mail, etc. She also features ';how to'; questions like this on her new show.
Hahaha, try folding in the edges in first so the sheet is somewhat in a square. Or just fold fold fold and force it into a ball like i do :)
Do u have a chin?
It's really not that hard.
1. Slip your hand into 2 top corners of the sheet.
2. With one hand inside each of the top 2 corners, fold the sheet (right sides together). Slip each of the top corners into one of the bottom corners.
3. Lay sheet on bed or table. Arrange and fold the corners neatly. Turn in selvage edges enough to make 4 straight sides.
4. Fold in half, then in half again. (All four corners will be stacked together, and sheet will be in a long strip.
5. Then fold the long strip in half, then in half (or thirds, depending on the size of the sheet) again to make a square.
6. Sheet should be a compact, neat square.
7. Smooth and place on shelf.
After folding the flat sheet, I usually tuck the folded fitted sheet and pillow cases into the flat sheet so that they are all together.
p.s. If I can figure out how to get some photo's onto photo bucket I will put the links up later today.

How do you make a bed using 2 flat & 1 fitted sheets?
You put a little buggy in it!!!How do you make a bed using 2 flat %26amp; 1 fitted sheets?
If you are making the bed with 2 flat sheets.
You put the first sheet over your mattress/ bed pad if you have one.You leave more sheet to head of your bed, then tuck from the head to the foot, making your hospital corners. Then you put your top sheet down, with more sheet to the bottom, and the rest of your blankets, make your hospital corners that way.
Use of a fitted sheet you put your fitted sheet over your mattress, it will fit evenly and you will not need to tuck it in. Then put your top sheet over that, leaving the extra to the bottom, and the rest of your covers, tuck in.

Does anyone know how to make fitted bassinet sheets?
I'm trying to save some money and it'd be nice to have extra sheets for the bassinet when my sons born. It's also very cold here and I'm having a heck of a time finding fleece sheets. I've been sewing for a while but I'm not quite sure on how to go about making sheets so anything would be great. ThanksDoes anyone know how to make fitted bassinet sheets?
Make the sheet about 4 inches lager than the mattress. Hem the edges. Fold the edges to the right side of the fabric and iron flat to the size of the mattress. Sew the corners by starting from inside corner to outside edge making a right angle. Trim triangle piece of material off and turn inside out.

Is there an EASY way to fold fitted sheets?
Fold your sheet in half.
Tuck the touching corners--bottom corners into the top corners.
Fold the sheet in half again so all four corners of the sheet are now touching.
Tuck the corners again.
Fold into half again.
Put away.Is there an EASY way to fold fitted sheets?
Yes, by realizing that there IS no way to neatly fold a fitted sheet and fold it the best you can and let the wrinkles fall where they may. Who is really going to see the bottom sheet anyway? When you put it on the bed, the wrinkles will come out anyway. There are more important things to worry about. Is there an EASY way to fold fitted sheets?
Fitted sheets are always so difficult to fold. I to this day haven't found an easy way. One thing I can tell you is that I recently purchased a set of Comphy Co. sheets and they are the softest sheets I have ever owned and they are guaranteed by the manufacturer to stay like new for 300 washes. Where other sheets that I have owned wear in sometimes a couple of washes. Ladies check out the comphy sheets when you make you next purchase I promise you won't be sorry.
2 people, hold the sheets at each corner at the top of the dart with the skirt inwards. Walk to your partner and hand your to corners to him or her.

Can a full size sheet set fit on a twin bed?
I have been planning my room for a while now and when my mom and I went to order the stuff, they were out of the sheets in twin size and I really want the sheets. Would It look weird if I got the full? Would it look to big? Please help me I've been planning this for months! Can a full size sheet set fit on a twin bed?
A full size is 15'; wider than a twin. The length is the same. The trouble you will have is with the fitted sheet and it will cost more than the twin. You can always order your set, try them and if you are unhappy just return them but it will cost you in shipping. I'm sure you can find someone you know with a full set that you can borrow to see how it will look.
Can you find out when their next shipment will arrive? Can a full size sheet set fit on a twin bed?
you can tuck the extra material between the mattress and box springs. tuck along the top, corner fold and tuck the side corner fold the bottom and so on. Or you can pull it tight along the top of the mattress leaving most the extra material at the bottom of the bed use some of the clips to help keep the material together under the mattress
I had to do the same, no it doesnt look wierd or too big, the sheets touch the ground but then peps cant see the underneath ur bed(sometimes sorta tacky to see under lol)! Hope it helps!

Will a flat twin sheet fit an extra long twin mattress?
I'm going to college and I wanted to bring certain sheets but I'm not sure if they will fit. For anybody that has lived in college dorms with extra long twin mattresses and tried to use regular sheets, what's your experience? Will a flat twin sheet fit an extra long twin mattress?
i used regular sheets on the extra long twin matress and it worked out fine. Will a flat twin sheet fit an extra long twin mattress?
No, it will not. Go to Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart and purchase sheets specfically made for a long twin mattress. You'll be glad you did, if you do not, you'll have sheet issues all semester.
The fitted sheet probably won't, but the flat sheet probably won't matter, as long as it covers YOU. The difference is only about six inches or so.
Your roommate will probably try to short-sheet your bed, anyways...
The flat sheet will be fine, but the fitted sheet won't work.
No, you'll need to buy the specific fitted sheets made for that size bed. Go to any bedding store and they should offer the single sheets that you're looking for. They're a few inches longer than regular singles.

Unless you buy a specialty fitted sheet, I have found the best thing to do is buy 2 flat sheets. That way you can fold it/fit it under the mattress without it being too big or small. I would say buy FULL size for a futon.
take a queen sized sheet and sew elastic onto it where it folds, that way it will be the size when its let out and the right size when its folded and theres not alot of material just there
If it is folded out it takes a full size sheet. If it's folded up it takes a twin size sheet.eye shadow

How can i copy and paste a large spreadsheet to another sheet to fit on one page?
I have been spending hours trying to work this out, i have been on page set up and also change the margins. When i go on to page set and press one page and one tall it goes onto 2 pages. I have tried everything but it doesnt seem to help. Do i need to put a page break , can someone help me with this, i need to copy and paste as i cant use the master spreadsheet. Please helpHow can i copy and paste a large spreadsheet to another sheet to fit on one page?
This is one of the basics you should have learned right at the beginning in page set up. You don't say what version but I am assuming it is Excel and whatever version, even 2007,open your spreadsheet and I always advise doing this from print preview so you can see what you are doing, so press the print preview tab, then clickon page set up. Select the first tab, page, and under scaling click on the fit to box and then make sure it is 1 to 1 so whatever size of spreadsheet you have it will automatically reduce itself to fit on one page.

How do you fold fitted bed sheets to keep them compact?
When I was little and they came out with fitted sheets I ask my mother the same question.Fold sheet in half, tuck one end of corner into other and straighten out.Do the same for the other corner. Then you will be folding in half again, tuck all corners into each other. You should now have a square. You can continue in the same way until it is flat and folded into a small square. Easy right. Not really it takes time.My mom was the original Donna Reed ';Mother knows best';How do you fold fitted bed sheets to keep them compact?
fold in 1/2 crosswise tucking 2 bottom corners in the 2 top....you now have 2 corners...tuck one corner into the other and fold the side in...fold this in 1/2 ...now you have a strip about 8'; to 12'; wide depending on the size of the sheet....now fold this strip in 1/2 crosewise 2 or 3 times....this is neat and very compact.....hope you understand what I was trying to say....it get easier w/ timeHow do you fold fitted bed sheets to keep them compact?
okay, fold the sheet in half. Tuck the corners inside each other so they match up. Then lay the sheet down. Fold over the edge where the corners are about 1/3 of the way in. Then fold over the other edge the rest of the way. Then fold it in half the long way, then in half again.
Here's one method:
1 Slip your hand into 2 top corners of the sheet.
2 With one hand inside each of the top 2 corners, fold the sheet (right sides together). Slip each of the top corners into one of the bottom corners.
3 Lay sheet on bed or table. Arrange and fold the corners neatly. Turn in selvage edges enough to make 4 straight sides.
4 Fold in half, then in half again. (All four corners will be stacked together, and sheet will be in a long strip.
Then fold the long strip in half, then in half (or thirds, depending on the size of the sheet) again to make a square.
Sheet should be a compact, neat square.
5 Smooth and place on shelf.
Here is another method:
STEP 1: Wash and dry your sheets before folding and storing them.
STEP 2: Remove sheets from dryer while they are still warm so that they do not wrinkle. If the sheets are already cool, put them back in the dryer with a moist cloth for a couple of minutes.
STEP 3: Put your right hand in the right top corner of the sheet, and fold the left top corner of the sheet over your right hand.
STEP 4: Keep holding the sheet with your right hand and gather up a bottom corner, folding it over the right hand as well.
STEP 5: Take the remaining corner and fold it over your right hand.
STEP 6: Fold the sheet into a square, then continue folding in half until you have reached the desired size.
It takes a little practice to get fast at doing either method.

Can flat sheets be made into fitted sheets?
You could knot the corners .Idid that and it stayed in place better than a fitted one?Can flat sheets be made into fitted sheets?
Yes, but it would be easier to just buy fitted sheets. Flat sheets are actually ';fitted'; in the sense that they come in particular sizes for different size beds. The fitted ones have elasticized corners to ';fit'; over the corner of the mattress. You can fold a flat sheet so that it stays under the corner or sew the ends into a fold that fits over the corners. Can flat sheets be made into fitted sheets?
yes you can, put the sheet on your bed and pin the corners of the sheet into the shape of your matteres, take it off and sew elastic on the inside of the sheet ensuring it has enough strech in it to go over the matteres and stay in place firmly, trim the excess sheet but make sure there is enough to fold over the elastic and sew in place.
hope this helps.
Some bedding stores sell a set of 4 elastics with fasteners on each end like the ones used to hold up nylon stockings. We got a new bed which has the deeper mattress, and the old fitted sheets don't stretch over it now, so I find they work very well for me. If you don't want to change them every time you change the sheets, you could get wide elastic at the fabric store and just sew it on the sheets so it will go under the mattress far enough to keep them in place.

My house ceiling is fitted with asbestors sheet.I come to understand it can cause cancer! Is it true?
If left untouched and is in good condition (i.e not breaking apart and crumbling) then it would present very little danger. In this instance the removal of it by untrained personnel would most likely present a much greater danger!
If the airborne asbestos fibres are inhaled, then it does present a very real danger, the effects of which however would not be realised for some 20 to 30 years! If infected this would most likely develop into asbestosis and finally Mesothelioma, of which there is no cure.
The only known cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos fibers.
Asbestos manufacturers knew about the hazards of asbestos some seventy years ago - but they kept this knowledge to themselves. The first warnings to workers exposed to asbestos were given in the mid-1960s, and they were terribly inadequate. Even today, workers are not always told they are working around asbestos and are at risk of asbestos disease. In Australia, James Hardey were found guilty of knowingly distributing this dangerous product and have been remanded to set aside many $$M for compensation claims from victims of this suffocating disease, for the next 40 years. My house ceiling is fitted with asbestors sheet.I come to understand it can cause cancer! Is it true?
Asbestos is potentially dangerous and can cause cancer. There are different kinds of asbestos, some of which are more dangerous than others.
Having said that, the danger comes from inhaling the fibres so, so long as the asbestos is not not disturbed, there should be no problem.
We lived in a house with asbestos lined walls for years. The asbestos was covered with wallpaper. We redecorated by papering over the older paper as we were advised that to remove the old paper would be dangerous as it would disturb the asbestos. When we had children, we had the asbestos removed as a precaution.
I would advise you to find someone who knows what they are talking about and get them to check it. They could then advise you on whether it is dangerous, and if so, how to make it safe.
Removal of asbestos is expensive but in most cases it should be possible to cover it up.
Best wishes and good luck.My house ceiling is fitted with asbestors sheet.I come to understand it can cause cancer! Is it true?
Asbestos fibers are dangerous if they become airborne and are inhaled. As long as the sheet in your ceiling is intact and not breaking apart, you are safer if you leave it be exactly where it is. Removing asbestos is expensive and takes a lot of specialty precautions, and unless you plan to remodel, it's best if it's just left in peace. Repeated exposure to airborne asbestos fibers causes a particular type of cancer called mesothelioma. But people do encounter the odd fiber on occasion and do just fine. The fact you have an asbestos sheet in your home doesn't mean you will develop lung cancer. If it makes you nervous, you can have it removed. You just need to be sure you have a contractor who is trained to do the removal properly, and don't try doing it yourself on the cheap. Removing it is only half the trouble, the other half is the proper disposal afterwards- which is why the contractor will cost you an arm and leg. Have it checked out, and if they find it's intact, they can suggest ways to secure it and isolate it so it doesn't become a trouble later.
If it is undamaged you don't need to worry. Asbestos is only a danger when released into the air.
Call a company who advertises abestos removal and ask them to check and make recommendations.
Yes and as soon as you can afford to pay the professional removers to remove it, the better for you.
Yes it causes asbestosis my uncle just died from this. I would have it removed by a professional if I were you.
Yes, I'm pretty sure of it.
Yes.eye shadow

How many fitted crib sheets should i register for?
just wondering..the bed set comes with one and then i added 1 more. how many more will i need? How many fitted crib sheets should i register for?
Really it depend on your baby. I'd start with 3 but not open the third package unless you need it (and return it if you don't). My first boy was fine with two. I'd wash one and have it ready next time it was needed. But my second boy had intestinal issues and used to throw up constantly. I needed to have more on hand with him. And changing pad covers? I gave up on those pretty quickly because newborns seem to get pee and poop everywhere the first couple of months. Those covers were so expensive, and I never had enough. I did, however, have more receiving blankets than I could ever use. So I used to fold them in half and lay them over the changing pad, and change it out a few times a day. Best rule of thumb for multiples of the same item is only open what you'll need initially, so that you can return items you don't need later and trade them for what you need more of. Every baby is different. How many fitted crib sheets should i register for?
Well, I don't have any children so I'm no expert, but 3 or 4 sheets and mattress covers sound like a good idea in case baby decides to have a couple of accidents in one night.
My mom told me that with me and my siblings she would layer mattress cover, sheet, mattress cover, sheet. That way if the baby has an accident in the middle of the night you don't have to fight with making the crib again while you're half asleep, just pull off the top sheet and mattress cover and you're good to go, unless baby decides to have another accident.
The most I've gone through in one day was 5. (Baby had a stomach bug.) You can probably get by with 3 or so though. Make sure you register for at least 2 of the waterproof pads for under the sheet -they're lifesavers, and if you're in a jam and short on sheets, they're OK by themselves, they're just not as soft.
I only have 1 fitted crib sheet. BUT I have 3 changing pad covers! My son usually has his blow-outs on the changing pad :)
..he's 11 months and he's just (yesterday!) had his first crib vomiting session. I'm going to buy him another crib cover tomorrow :)
I just threw that one in the wash and put a baby blanket over the mattress while it went in the washer and dryer.
But I WOULD recommend getting 2 :)
Here's what worked great for me. Make sure you have three sets of sheets, and three waterproof mattress covers. Layer them all on the mattress, so when one gets messy, you just peel off that sheet and mattress cover, and the new one is already on. Trust me, it comes in handy at 3 am when you have no sleep. And that's when your little angel is going to expel every bodily fluid possible!
I registered for 3, just in case the baby got sick and made a mess. We have used 2 in one night, bc the baby puked. I changed the sheets and then he puked again on the other set. I was soo glad we had 3 sets of sheets!
I would possibly register for 4, just to be on the safe side.
I would definitely get at least 4 sheets and two matress covers. You never know when you may need extra especially if your baby spits up a lot or ends up with a stomach bug where you run out of all your sheets with in the first hour of going to bed. I would definitely get 4 or more sheets.
ALOT.
I dont know if its because I have a boy but he pees through his diapers alot at night in his crib and I end up changing it almost everyday. I think I have 6 crib sheets and thank god, he just so fast and alot that the diaper doesn't have time to absorb it fast enough.
Three of four. Babies always like to spit up on clean sheets. Never fails the sheet is dirty within hours of changing it at my house. Always a good idea to have a few spares.
I recommend having at least 3 crib sheets. That way, you have one in the wash, one on the bed and an extra if you need it.
I believe we have four. Just in case our son wets the bed or pukes or something more than once, in one night. (Hopefully not!)
I have 3 of them and 2 mattress pads. I've had to change my little girl's bed before during the night and then again after a nap that day so having 3 was a blessing!
i have three. its always nice just to have one extra. so i would say 2-3 is a good number.
2 sounds good. 1 to wash, one to use.
I wouldn't order any more. Just wash what you have %26amp; you'll be fine. I only have 1 set- my baby is 24 months old.
I would say get atleast 4 you never know where they are going to leak from and when you will have time to wash.

Need help with folding fitted bed sheets?
I know there is a easy way of doing this but I can't remember how to do it could you give me some help.Need help with folding fitted bed sheets?
Put one corner of the sheet on your fist, then follow the hem around to the next corner and fold it over the first, then the third and the fourth.
Now, straighten it smooth and lay it down and fold in the flaps so that you have a rectangle.
Fold that in half and keep folding until it is the size you want for storage.
I can fold mine without laying it down and without someone helping me but it took some practice.
Good Luck !!Need help with folding fitted bed sheets?
Wow, patheticgirl and kimmi are twins!!!!
I unfold the improperly folded fitted sheets, and fold them properly. Do you think I am OCD?
hey sparky I swear thats exactly what i do
It's common sense. I'm surprised anyone has difficulty folding fitted sheets. It takes longer than flat sheets, but it's not difficult.
Just wad them up in a ball and stick them wherever you put them. That's what I do.
my mom was a stickler about this! so take your sheet and fold it in half ,take two of your four corners and tuck them inside the other two corners, now take one of the two corners left and tuck it into the other, now you have four corners tucked together, lay it flat and fold.good luck
Its impossible, I just wad them up and put them where no one can see
I just usually fold them as neat as I possible can, or just put them back on the beds as soon as they're dry.
fold them in half and in half and in half and in half and in half.....

Can anybody tell me how to put fitted sheets on bunk bed mattress. am unable to do it single handedly.help!!!!
i have this very high bunk bed and i cant reach it anyway. only my lil monkey kid finds it amusing to get on it. i fixed the sheet once when my niece was around but how to fix it again. please help. Can anybody tell me how to put fitted sheets on bunk bed mattress. am unable to do it single handedly.help!!!!
i lift far side corner of mattress hook sheet on then hook on near side then climb on other end of bed and do the same
if that makes any senseCan anybody tell me how to put fitted sheets on bunk bed mattress. am unable to do it single handedly.help!!!!
oh no, shes one of the posh ones.
go into the edge of the sheet about 6 inches and sew a band from side to side....slip this end on first and the other end will be a snap to put on.....good luck
If no one is using the top bunk then dont worry about putting a sheet on it . Just cover the mattress with a throw blanket . If you have to have a sheet on it though and you dont feel like climbing up there to put the sheet on it maybe your kid could slip the sheet on to the corner for you. Or slide the bed away from the wall so you can get to that side. If the bed is way to high you could use a sturdy box to stand on so you can reach. YOur best bet is getting up there yourself and slipping it on.
I'm only 5 foot tall and when i make my kids bunk beds i pull them out and go behind the bed to put the sheet on the back then go round the front and pull it over its easy all bunk beds are the same height
I used to have to change the sheets for my grandson who had a very high bunk bed. The easiest way I found was to just slide the mattress off and make it and then slide it back up there! Good luck.

How many inces are Deep Pocket fitted sheets in the corners?
Thanks in advanceHow many inces are Deep Pocket fitted sheets in the corners?
Many of the fitted sheet packages say. I have two beds with what appears like extremely thick. I've found packages the quote 13 and 15 inch pockets. If you have a very thick mattress, I've found that if the package doesn't say the exact depth then it is probably too small. How many inces are Deep Pocket fitted sheets in the corners?

i saw it once on oprah from martha stewart here is thelink it includes pictures and it gets them perfectly flat!!!

any way you can to make them fit in the drawerHow do you fold fitted bed sheets?
with great difficulty believe me Ive tried all different ways there is basically no way
Not the proper way, that's for sure. I know how but why bother? I just get them as flat as I can in 10 seconds or less and don't worry about it.
I think that is the eternal question. What I do is match corners and tuck them into each other. If that makes sense ... Or I just scrunch them up and throw them in the back of the linen closet. :-)

I don`t know mine is a tangled mess too...They say these little rubber laundry balls work but they did not work for me and I threw them away.... I wish something would work...I hope you find a solution and it would help me too. Good Luck....
Small loads - that's the key.
I'm really not sure there is a way. Laundry always ends up in a jumbled mess in the dryer.
dry with some tennis balls...works great
I dry the sheets separately and they do pretty well that way. When you put other things in, they get tangled in the sheets. Sometimes I line dry them too but be sure to use fabric softener in the rinse cycle. No problems at all then.
I've never had that problem.
Then again - I only wash one fitted sheet per load (other stuff in there - but never two fitted sheets at once).
You might try those rubber, knobbly dryer balls you can buy at the grocery store now. Suppose to cut down on drying time, and keep things fluffy.

I started buying fitted sheets with the elastic that goes all around the sheet. I haven't found anything else that works, when 2 people get in bed that stretches the sheet, maybe really expensive ones are better.
in the better ware catalog they do these elastic thingies that clip on to the bedsheets and keep them in place.

I swear by the sheets I use! I have bought 3 sets for my king bed so far. I by them at Wal-Mart. I know people probably say you cannot buy good sheets at Wal-Mart I suggest you try these! The are very soft, they wash well, the pockets are deep enough to fit over my mattress and box spring. The price reasonable and the quality is fantastic!

This question appears under the category ';All English questions'; which means that you could be in any country in the world and posed your question in English. I hope you can see that, without knowing where you live, it is not possible to determine what stores (that might carry what you want) that you are close to and thus it is not possible to give you an accurate answer.
In general (and you are by no means the only one to do this) but broadly-based questions are not helpful to those who want to help. More specific information would be helpful. For example, for your question, if it read ';..... of any stores in the _______ area that may carry.....';

safty pinsDoes anyone have a surefire way to keep fitted sheets on a mattress ?
I've tried everything from double sided tape, clothes hangers, safety pins, and even sewing it to the bed.

Sew elastic from one side to the other. This way it cannot pull off from the mattress.

Will a twin elastic sheet fit on an extra long twin bed?
since it has elastic in it, wont it be able to stretch to fit the longer matress? Will a twin elastic sheet fit on an extra long twin bed?
No...doesn't work. You'll need to go someplace to get the long sheets. I found some at Target when I needed them. Will a twin elastic sheet fit on an extra long twin bed?
Nope, it will stretch but not enough. You can buy x-long twin (also seen as x-twin) at Walmart or Target...
yes it will strech out and be a tight fit
No, sorry. The elastic shrivels it up, and it only expands to be tight around a regular twin bed. I have a lot of experience with this because I've slept on extra-long twin beds for 25 years.
You'll have to find a sheet that specifically says ';Extra-Long (or X-Long) Twin.';
Only way to find out is to try it
an extra long twin needs an extra long sheet.

You'll have to find a sheet that specifically says ';Extra-Long (or X-Long) Twin.';
Only way to find out is to try it
an extra long twin needs an extra long sheet.
Where Can I get a Zebra Print Fitted Sheet For My Bed?
Hi where can I get a Zebra print Fitted sheet for my full size bed?

I also need a Lime Green Flat sheet and Hot Pink Comforter if you can find any of those things please answer. Please give links with your answer. Again, my matteress size is: full
Thanks for your help :-)Where Can I get a Zebra Print Fitted Sheet For My Bed?
You may need to buy an entire set of sheets and if you do you can always use the flat sheet to cover a pillow, a chair or for a runner on a dresser. Here are some things that might work for you:

Is there anywhere online can buy a fitted sheet for the Graco ';Bugs Quilt Play Yard';? (10 points for answer!)?
I want to buy a Graco Pack N Play Bugs Quilt Play Yard, but because it is an unusual size for a pack n play I can't seem to find sheets in the right dimensions to fit over the bottom pad (38 by 38 inches). Even the Graco site only has sheets for the standard size! Please help! Thanks!
This is the one I mean:

edit: you might call sheetworld and see if they can make the size you're needing.
I also found this http://www.strollers.com/asp/show_detail鈥?/a>
there's an option to buy extra sheets.. but I can't find the dimensions to see if it's the same as yours.. maybe you could call?
And I found this:

I've tried searching for you too and couldn't find anything. Sorry. I think it's because it's to be used as a play yard only, not to sleep in. It says on their website that it is a soft, easy to clean pad, so you might just have to not use a sheet. Otherwise, try to find a pattern on a craft website to make your own. Not sure how hard that would be though. Good luck
Edit. I just looked at that sheetworld.com and even on the custom sizes page where you can type in your own sizes, it doesn't go to 38'; x 38';. Sorry, no luck there either.
I looked around online, I couldn't find anything. Maybe you could make one? Or have someone who knows how to sew make one.
Good luck!

My toddler is sleeping UNDER the fitted sheet in his crib - what do I do?
So here's the story - My toddler (he turns 3 next month) is in a crib - likes the crib and has great sleeping habits since he was 3 months old. However, over the last month he has started worming his way UNDER the fitted crib sheet - I bought some with more fabric in an effort to replace worn/stained ones, and he loves them. I will come in to wake him from naps or in the morning and he's under there, sheet still tucked in all the corners. He takes his blankie, his dragons, all the crib stuff under there with him. At first I thought he was doing it because he was bored in the morning before I came in to get him or whatever, but he's sleeping under there.
I have no idea how or why he does it, really. He seems to like playing under sheets (like a fort or something) during the day. He giggles and thinks it's funny when I go in to get him in the morning.
I tried switching back to the old sheets and he strips them from the crib and often takes off his PJs and even his diaper in protest when that happens, and often does not fall asleep right away or sleep as long. He's not potty trained, so that's pretty gross. With these sheets he's more often fully dressed, sleeping better, etc. I tried adding a blanket, tucked in at the foot of the crib, in case he was doing it because he is cold. He ignores it.
Is this a problem? Has anyone else had a little one who does this? Should I bite the bullet and switch the convertible crib to the toddler bed? Get him a sleeping bag? Is it a phase that will go away?
Help!My toddler is sleeping UNDER the fitted sheet in his crib - what do I do?
I agree it's just a phase. I understand being concerned because he's under a fitted sheet and worried he can't breathe properly. If that is a big concern maybe poke a few holes in the fitted sheet that he wont notice and it will give you piece of mind ( that is if you don't mind holes in your sheet )
I bet you it is pretty cute to come in there and find him that way especially if he is giggling! If you think that's weird....my 21 month old sleeps sitting up. I mean in full on indian style with his head between his legs. This started back around 7 months when he started ';crying'; himself to sleep. Well he still falls asleep this way and half the time I go in there and passed out sitting up. I will lay him out and five minutes later I check on him again and he's the same way. You think his legs would fall asleep!
If you son is comfortable and sleeping well...let that sleeping baby rest!! Definitely take pictures and write it down...it will be funny to him one day!My toddler is sleeping UNDER the fitted sheet in his crib - what do I do?
It's just a phase; as long as he's sleeping and breathing.....I wouldn't worry about it.
What I would do, however, make a note of this in his baby book.
AND potty train him.....he's too old to be in diapers!!!
You have to admit it's pretty cute!! It is a phase. It'll get old after a while. Takes lots of pictures of it though. Maybe switching him to a big boy bed will bring more excitement than the sheet itself. They also have pop-up tents that go over the bed. Once you get him into a big boy bed, if you get a tent, maybe he won't feel the need to make his own fort. He may also just like the tightness of the sheet around him. It's comforting for a baby to be swaddled and as we grow into adults we like to be cuddled under blankets. I wouldn't worry about it too much. But I would laugh about it a lot. If it's not hurting or dangerous to him then don't sweat it.

Will I be able to fit a twin fitted sheet onto a twin xl mattress?
The twin sheets that I have are for deep mattresses, but I will need them to fit a twin xl mattress. I'm also wondering if those elastic sheet grippers that I have seen in stores will remedy any potential problems.

Please only answer if you have ACTUAL EXPERIENCE with this situation as I already know the differences in dimensions of twin vs. twin xl sheets, but would like to hear from anyone that has personally attempted to fit a twin sheet onto a twin xl mattress. Will I be able to fit a twin fitted sheet onto a twin xl mattress?
If the fabric is stretchy... t-shirt/jersey cotton sheets, you won't even notice the difference.
I can almost guarantee you that your dorm mattress will not be a deep mattress, so the extra material will compensate. The difference between twin and XL twin is just a couple inches, so I'd try going without to begin with. You can always buy the gripper things later.philosophy

Keeping the fitted sheet on the mattress??
I have one of those thick ';silent night'; mattresses, and although the sheets I buy are more than suffient enough to cover the mattress (and for the corners to fit under it) I still find that every time I get onto the bed the corners come off at the top - I wake with a sheet half on the bed and it's driving me mad.
Is there any product - in the UK - that keeps the sheet on the bed??? I tried looking but couldn't find anything...Keeping the fitted sheet on the mattress??

Joyce B has answered your question. Suspenders from walmart. Like you use on kids hockey socks to hold up there socks
Buy two sets of clip-on suspenders made for holding up pants at a clothing store.
Can you find those suspenders that snap on the under side to hold the sheet tight? Or try sewing lengths of heavy duty elastic (the kind of elastic used in waistbands). Elastic is what I have on my sheets and it works well.

Yes they should fit, if not, the elastic corner strips work wonders. We have a deep QUEEN size matress the sheet we bought wouldn't fit right so we had to buy the straps and they are little miraclesWill a twin fitted sheet fit a twin xl mattress?
My son`s mattress was thicker than the norm.
My normal sheets did not fit it. They kept popping off, I resorted to safety pins at the corners. I guess it would be different if it was the bed being longer, but still having the deep sheets. I would think it would sure hold it on taunt!!
I have tried the elastic bands that clip from corner to corner. They worked OK on my mattress where the protector was losing it`s elasticity, but not for his over sized (thick) mattress.
Hmm moving into a dorm?
Well, the twin xl mattresses are slimmer and longer than the regular twin mattresses. Twin sheets will fit if you use those elastic sheet grippers.
yes they will fit, get good quality sheets though 400 ct. cotton for starters, they're always extra roomy.

Will a 13'; fitted sheet fit a 13.5'; mattress?
I know this sounds like a dumb question but I am just wondering because the new bed I am getting is going to be 13.5 inches and I found this bed set that has a fitted sheet that says it fits mattresses up to 13'; thick but the on other websites (same exact product) says up to 14'; and even 16'; on the same product!!
If it really only fits up to 13';...will it just fit snuggly over my mattress or will it be annoying and keep coming off? I REALLY like this set and hope it works out! Please let me know if you have experienced anything like this!
Thanks! :)Will a 13'; fitted sheet fit a 13.5'; mattress?
As your sheet is supposed to have pockets a couple of inches deeper than the mattress, sometimes stores will guess as to what size mattress it will fit. Other stores will just list the pocket size.
If it is truly the exact same product, it probably has a pocket depth of 16';.
If it really only fits up to thirteen inches, the sheet will fit your bed. You'll be able to get it on, and what will probably happen is that the bottom of the sheet ends an inch or two above the bottom of your mattress. It will come off of the mattress more often this way, but it is workable, especially if the sheet has elastic all the way around.
You could even buy sheet straps, which attach to the bottom of the sheet, go under the corners of your mattress, and then attach to the bottom of the sheet on the other side. This will help them stay on.Will a 13'; fitted sheet fit a 13.5'; mattress?
no .5'; too small
Always go larger than your mattress. 13 inches is small. I would go with no less than a 15 or 17 inch sheet. You also have to be aware that there can be some shrinkage in wash particularly if you aren't washing properly. High count sheets have to be washed in cold water and dryed on low and can still shrink. I have paid big bucks for high quality sheets and had to send them to Goodwill because they would no longer fit my mattress. I'm buying as deep a sheet as I can buy now. My mattress requires at least a 15 inch but I'm finding that I need no less than an 18 or 20 some to actually fit. Sheet manufacturers have not come up to speed to the mattress sizes and it has been years. It's crazy.

Whenever I try it always looks so bad lol :)

Fold one end into the other. Like this - http://video.about.com/housekeeping/Fold鈥?/a>How am I supposed to fold fitted sheets?
Fold the sheet in half and tuck the corner on one side into the other corner on that side. Do the same with the corners on the other side. Now you have something that's nearly square and you can just go ahead and finish folding it.

Where can I buy three quarter bed fitted sheets?
I am receiving a 3/4 bed from my grandparents, but I don't have any extra sheets for it. All I need is the mattress pad and the fitted sheet. However, when I google it, I can't find any to order for my bed that are at a reasonable price.
If you could find a trustworthy website for me, that'd be great!!
Thanks! :)Where can I buy three quarter bed fitted sheets?
There is a website out there that supposedly handles them, but they haven't updated since 2008 and I wouldn't trust them with my money in that case.
If it was me, I'd just buy double bed sized linens and just tuck the wider side under one side of the mattress. It's not worth special ordering them. The length for both beds is supposed to be 75';, and that should keep thing taut enough to not worry about . I like the idea of having a slightly wider top sheet, personally.
You could probably do the same with the mattress pad, too.Where can I buy three quarter bed fitted sheets?
I would not use fitted sheets at all because you can get a much better look and feel to your bed with an extra wide sheet and more to tuck in. Plus flat sheets are far easier to fold :)
Standard size bedding is often a bit skimpy for the size of bed so enjoy the luxury of using double size at half the cost of custom made. You'll have more choice in colors etc too

Hi, I am moving into an apartment in a couple of weeks, and the bed that I have is full size. Right now, I am sleeping on a twin size bed, and all I have is twin size sheets. Will my twin sheets fit onto a full mattress, or am I going to have to buy new sheets? Will a twin sheet fit a full size bed?
NopeWill a twin sheet fit a full size bed?
The fitted twin sheet will NOT fit a full size bed. However, your top sheet (the flat sheet) should be sufficient for you to cover you on the full sized bed. However, it won't drape over the side of the bed. So you will need to buy full sized sheets for your full sized bed. Different sized sheets work okay when moving DOWN a size, but not going up. Sorry. Enjoy your new bed. Full size beds rocks! You'll have more room to lounge around, read, hang out with other people and spread out on the bed. You'll never go back to a twin again.
No, the sheets won't fit, a full size bed is 16 inches wider. But they are the same length. You could just use flat sheets and tuck them under if the mattress is not too thick. your blankets will work fine, although not hang down on the sides. Look for sales...full sheets are cheap.
No, there's a big difference between a twin size and a full size. You can get away with full on a twin, but not twin on a full. Sheets aren't that expensive, you can get them for $6 at Wal-Mart.
No, they will not fit.
But if you're short on money, try a store called ';Anna's';.
They have fairly good quality sheets (slightly irregular, but not noticeable) at a very low price.
Happy moving!
granted, it depends on the manufacture of the sheets, but i would say that they would not fit because a full is larger than a twin.
If the full size bed doesn't have a pillow topper on it, it could possibly fit, but you would really be chancing it. Sorry, hope this helps! good luck!
There is a rare probability that they will fit very tightly, but the most probable answer is that they won't.
you will have to buy new sheets.... usually you can find them at either walmart, or discount stores that will sell them cheaper... because they can be expensive...
no...gotta buy new sheets... twin sheets are for twin sized beds. full sized sheets are for full sized beds...
no, a twin is a single size bed and a full size is wide enough for 2 people.
No it will not fit. A full bed is about 40% larger than a twin bed
you need to buy knew sheets. twin sheets are way to small.
nope! too small!

Is there any way to fold a fitted sheet so it doesn't look like crap anyways?
i usually try a few minutes, then wad it into a friggin ball and stuff it in the closet....
can't even with help
forget it i'm sleepin on the couchIs there any way to fold a fitted sheet so it doesn't look like crap anyways?
Yes, but it's a HUGE pain in the @ss. Just fold as best as you can. Who cares anyway, you're asleep :)Is there any way to fold a fitted sheet so it doesn't look like crap anyways?
I don't think it is possible, sorry.
I feel your pain.
fold the fitted side1st then the side of it making it smaller, then fold it making it a neat square fold..
goodluck
I know there's a way, but I haven't figured it out yet.
Yeah, lets see how to tell you step by step...
First - fold in half with the elastic corners tucked in side each other, almost like a mitt.
Then - fold in half again, same way, corners inside each other.
You will get an odd looking rectangle. straighten it out, then fold to desired size.
It is so much easier if someone shows you - I only just learned from a girl at the laundry mat!
Good Luck!
OK this is going to be hard to explain but I'll try what you do is take one side and put your fingers in the corners of the fitted part and then stick them in the other side so your making a square you fold it just like a normal sheet just tuck in the extra stuff I wish I could show you it would be so much easier. I hope this helped if not email me and I'll try and walk you through it.

What wash to I put my 50% polyester and 50% cotton fitted sheets into?
Want to wash my fitted bed sheet. The tag says it is 50% cotton 50% polyester and 'warm wash'. Can i wash it in what my washing machine calls a 30 degree 'daily wash' or the 90 degree 'white cotton wash' or a 60 degree 'white nylon' wash. What wash to I put my 50% polyester and 50% cotton fitted sheets into?
Use the medium 60 degree setting, unless the sheets are very soiled. Then use hotter water. 50/50 poly cotton isn't going to shrink any if at all.
If the sheets are a dark color, though, you may want to use a cooler temperature to avoid fading.

Drying a fitted sheet!?
Is there a secret to drying a fitted sheet that I can't figure out? I have tried with nothing else in the dryer with it and it still tangles up by itself. I'm tempted to just put a flat sheet on the bed and forget about the fitted sheet!!Drying a fitted sheet!?
I always just hang it on the door to the laundry. If you don't have a laundry hang it on the bedroom door and it will be ready to put back on in no time.Drying a fitted sheet!?
When you pull it out of the washer shake it out and get it untangled and lay it in the dryer. Same thing goes for jeans....fold them the way you hang them before putting them in the dryer.
And I HATE when you get other clothes stuck in the side pockets....like socks..and they are still wet cuz they didn't get the full effect of drying!!! LOL!! OH and I just mastered folding last year!
It is the elastic that causes it. Have you mastered the art of Folding one yet.
